Tom Out At Y&R!

Word on the street is that David Tom is out as Billy on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! Daytime Confidential is reporting that the actor, who played the role from 1999 to 2002 and stepped in this year for the departing Billy Miller, is being replaced by Burgess Jenkins.

The soap is reportedly taking the character in a different direction, necessitating the recast. Jenkins has appeared in numerous primetime series including ARMY WIVES, NASHVILLE and ONE TREE HILL. Look for him to first appear in late June. “So excited to be joining the Y&R family!” the actor tweeted. “Thanks so much for the outpouring of warm welcome from all the fans!”
