Ashlyn Pearce (ex-Aly, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) was in an audition when the Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced, so she had to wait until after she was done to check her messages and discover that she was up for Outstanding Younger Actress!
Despite the fact that Pearce left the soap last July when her character was unexpectedly killed off, she is thrilled to be honored for those final scenes. “Even if it’s just a nomination, it’s such a great thing for me,” she tells Soaps In Depth. “I had my character from the beginning to the end, and to know that people liked my character and thought that I did a good performance just makes me have a huge smile on my face. So I can at least walk away feeling really, really good about what I brought to B&B.”
Pearce is also looking forward to reconnecting with her former castmates when they all gather together on Sunday, May 1, for the ceremony and all the parties. “They are so fun to spend time with!” she enthuses. “Twenty-three nominations for B&B is such a wonderful success, so we’re going to be super-stoked, and hopefully we’ll get all the wins! That would be great!”
