Is Y&R’s Alex On The Wrong Side Of The Law?

Ignacio Serricchio plays Alex the cop during the day on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but tonight he’s a potential suspect on CSI! In the episode, titled “Exile,” the actor plays Estefan Meha, the owner of the club where a famous singer’s sister dies. “I can’t tell you if Estefan is a good guy or a bad guy,” Serricchio teases, “but I can say he’s trying to do the right thing. He owns this club and wants to make some money. He knows [the victim] so this is very personal to him.”

The actor agrees that CBS’ crime dramas are expert at hooking viewers in — once you see the setup at the beginning of the show it’s very difficult to not stick around to see how it’s resolved! It’s the same way, he says, when he read the script. “As I read it, I try to solve the mystery myself,” he says. “That’s what keeps me reading. I may make an assumption at the beginning and as I keep reading it I try to see if I’m right or not. You have to be a little bit of a detective yourself!”

Serricchio’s CSI episode airs tonight on CBS at 10:00 pm EST.
