Haiduk Takes A Bite Outta Primetime!

Everyone needs a pal who’s got their back. THE YOUNG & THE RESLTESS’ Stacy Haiduk (ex-Patti/Emily/Mary Jane) proves to be just that for Ashley Scott in Lifetime’s The Nightmare Nanny (premiering Saturday, July 13, at 8 p.m. EST). In it, Scott’s character, Annie, has left her three-year-old daughter (Elizabeth and Mariam Tovey; ex-Sydney, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) in the charge of a seemingly lovely young woman (Mekenna Melvin from CHUCK) and returned to work, only to start feeling replaced at home. “I play Elise,” Haiduk offers. “I’m Annie’s confidante and a high-powered, sassy boss at a big company.”

As she soon discovers, Elise will need to become supportive in more ways than one when the nanny’s true character is revealed. “It’s about a family whose child gets taken, which always devastates me when I hear about it,” Haiduk relates. “But I got to work with Ashley, which was an absolute pleasure.” For a sneak peek at the soapy flick, which also features GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan), check out the trailer. The movie will repeat on Sunday, July 14, at 12 a.m. and 3 p.m. EST, and again on Saturday, July 27 at 6 p.m. EST.

Then, HBO’s TRUE BLOOD is about to get a whole lot sexier when Haiduk joins the cast. Look for the actress to appear in episodes airing Sunday, July 14, and Sunday, July 21, as Jenny, a werewolf prostitute who bluntly lays down the ground rules to a prospective client. “She’s just a fun, Southern, fabulous, funny character,” Haiduk reveals. “I just adored playing her.” Aside from the chance to do more primetime, Haiduk says the bet part of her stint was sharing scenes with one of the show’s stars. “I got to work with Robert Patrick!” she says grinning. “He’s been in so many amazing movies and worked with so many incredible people — he tells fantastic stories.”

For details on the in-demand actress’ next recurring role on ABC Family’s murder mystery, TWISTED, this summer, don’t miss her exclusive feature interview in an upcoming CBS issue of Soaps In Depth.
