FOREVER Could Be A Long Time For B&B's Mauzy

Broadway's loss is ABC's gain this season — MacKenzie Mauzy's run on FOREVER is continuing on. The theater actress who got her start playing a teenaged and often lovelorn Phoebe on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL is currently having the time of her life as Abigail, the love of medical examiner Henry Morgan's life on ABC's hit drama.

In the story, Henry has the particular conundrum of not being able to die, unlike Abigail — the beautiful British nurse whom the doctor met during WWII — who merely lives on in his memory. "She found baby Abe [who is now older than Henry] in a concentration camp, rescued him and brought him to Henry," Mauzy explains. "They fell in love with the baby and made a little family together."

In "New York Kids," the episode airing Tuesday, October 28, at 10:00 p.m. ET, Mauzy's character will be remembered again, resulting in a deeper understanding of Henry's past. "They will be introducing another character, which is a younger version of Judd Hirsch [who plays adult Abe] but an older version of the baby. So it gives a window into their life together in New York and raising Abe," Mauzy relates. "And it'll show Abigail's dynamic of really pressing Henry to take time off work to take Abe to his game..." How might Henry's memory of juggling his priorities in the past affect the way he handles his current case? Tune in to find out!

In addition to the fun of wearing 1950s costuming, Mauzy is enjoying playing off of charming Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd and developing their characters' relationship. "Abigail is full of energy, light and humor and always tries to counteract Henry's [tendency] to get very pensive and serious," insists the actress who has more episodes ahead. "I think she's a good balance for him."
