DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Billy Flynn Opens Up About the New Abigail Recast, Marci Miller!

Marci Miller only just began airing as the new Abigail on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, but fans have already welcomed the recast with open arms. Of course, Billy Flynn (Chad) knew that would happen months ago when he began taping scenes with the actress!

“She’s wonderful!” he enthuses to Soaps In Depth. “She’s super talented and really, really kind. She’s very different [from Abby’s former portrayer, Kate Mansi], but at the same time, she has such an Abigail quality.”

For Flynn, Chad’s connection with his love is sparked when he looks into her eyes. “There’s this sort of all hope and kindness [there], almost like a doe,” he suggests. “Kate had it, Ashley Benson had it when she was much younger playing the role, and Marci has it, too.”

But as fans know, Jennifer’s wide-eyed daughter is capable of being both vulnerable and fierce on any given day, so it takes a special actress to embody the complex role. “Marci’s very subtle,” Flynn observes. “She plays things smart… she doesn’t play into the soap thing, which is to make these things big. It’s going to make for some interesting television.”
