Daytime veteran Anthony Addabbo has passed away at the age of 56.
The actor is best known to soap fans for his roles of Jim Lemay on GUIDING LIGHT and Tony “Rush” Carrera on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL. His former B&B castmate Winsor Harmon, shared the sad news on his Facebook page.
“Today we lost a damn good man, a father, and a great actor,” Harmon wrote. “Here’s to you, TA. We shared many glasses of Vino Rosso together, brother. I’ll never forget how excited you were to land B&B. By the way, you still owe me that lobster dinner. I’ll collect next time I see ya.
“We will miss you, my dear friend,” he continued. “RIP. I know you’re walking the streets of gold bringing joy to the angels as you did here on Earth. God bless you, man. Love and miss you, brother.”
Addabbo also appeared briefly on ALL MY CHILDREN as a recast of Dimitri and GENERATIONS as Jason as well as numerous other TV series and films. He is survived by his wife, Elli Pattino and their 17-year-old son, Brandon.
Our thoughts are with Addabbo’s loved ones during this difficult time.
