B&B Alum Joins Web Soap WINTERTHORNE!

How do you make a series centered on a candy empire even tastier? By adding DALLAS star Linda Gray (ex-Priscilla, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) to the mix!

When WINTERTHORNE, the new Web series from DEVANITY creator Michael Caruso, begins production next month, Gray — best known as DALLAS’ liquor-lovin’ Sue Ellen Ewing — will step into the role of matriarch Joanna Winterthorne.

“Linda has a warmth and strength that embodies Joanna,” says Caruso, adding that he “wrote this part specifically for her. It’s always an honor when you write for a specific actor and they see themselves in the part. This is a moment I will never forget as a producer!”

*Martha Madison *(ex-Belle, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), who’ll play Joanna’s daughter, Miranda, admits to being excited about working with the iconic star. “I have so many special memories of watching DALLAS with my own mother,” Madison says, “so having Linda play my mother now feels like a full-circle moment!”

WINTERTHORNE promises to flip traditional serialized storytelling on its head by focusing on a female-centric empire in which the men play supporting roles. As well as the aforementioned cast, the sudser also features Gordon Thompson (DYNASTY) and Josh Thrower (90210), with more casting expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
