 Alexandra The Great

McKinsey will be missed by fans and colleagues alike.
Daytime is mourning the loss of Beverlee McKinsey (ex-Alexandra, GUIDING LIGHT; Iris, ANOTHER WORLD), who passed away on May 2 from complications following a kidney transplant. "I loved working with her," says Vincent Irizarry (David, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS; ex-Lujack/Nick, GL). "We were both so excited to work together again when I returned [to GL in 1991]."

"She was hands down the best," says Grant Aleksander (ex-Phillip). Adds Judi Evans (ex-Beth): "She had sparkling blue eyes and I loved her scenes with Warren Burton (ex-Warren)!"

Watch for an extended tribute from many of her co-stars and her son, GENERAL HOSPITAL director Scott McKinsey, in an upcoming issue of CBS Soaps In Depth!
