 Moss Waltzes To The Finals!

Moss has some fancy footwork!
Last weekend, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Ronn Moss (Ridge) breezed through his semi-final performance on DANCING WITH THE STARS, ITALY, landing him and dance partner Sara di Varia a slot in the show's finals competition! Moss and di Varia will compete for the trophy against four other couples this Saturday, March 20, during a live broadcast in Italy. “This competition has been life-changing for me in so many ways,” says Moss, who has been flying back and forth between Los Angeles and Rome in order to juggle the soap and the dance competition. Check out the actor’s personal blog to view his prior performances on the show this season.

Catch A Trio Of Soap Stars!

Brynes witnesses a miracle!
In Healing Hands, a new original film from the Hallmark Channel, Eddie Cibrian (ex-Matt, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) plays Buddy, a man who receives an unexpected, supernatural gift following an accident. As he learns to deal with his new skills, fellow Y&R alumna Darcy Rose Byrnes (ex-Abby) witnesses them firsthand! "My character’s best friend gets hit by a car while we are racing our bikes, and Buddy comes to save her with his… ‘healing hands,’” Byrnes tells Soaps In Depth. “Only I’m the only one who sees the miracle.” Byrnes, who has four additional films coming down the pike, enjoyed working with Cibrian. “He was kind of quiet, focused, and very sweet,” she offers. “Most importantly, he made me feel really comfortable!” Healing Hands, which also features THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Patrick Duffy (Stephen), premieres Saturday, March 20, at 9 p.m. EST.

 Fan Faves Come Home!

There's no place like home for Gwen and Will.
Sources tell Soaps In Depth that Jesse Soffer (ex-Will) and Emmy winner Jennifer Landon (ex-Gwen) are returning to AS THE WORLD TURNS! We hear that the duo are due back on the set in April, but a spokesperson for the soap wouldn't confirm their comebacks.

 White Loves SATURDAY NIGHT!

Will White spoof THE GOLDEN GIRLS?
Were you one of the nearly 500,000 Facebook fans who campaigned for Betty White (ex-Ann, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) to host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE? Well, be sure to tune in to the NBC late-night sketch comedy show on Saturday, May 8! The Peacock Network listened to the fans' requests, and has invited the 88-year-old actress to host the show. "I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day weekend than with Betty White," said creator and producer Lorne Michaels in a statement. SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. EST.

 Star Ties The Knot

Mom-to-be Gareis is now a wife!
Jennifer Gareis (Donna, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL) is a married lady! The actress — who is expecting a son with now-husband Bobby Ghassemieh in early summer — announced her new relationship status on her Facebook page earlier this morning with a simple statement of "Jennifer Gareis is married." Congratulations to the new Mrs. & Mrs!

UPDATE: "Jennifer and her fiance, Bobby, were married on March 7 in a private ceremony in Los Angeles," says a spokesperson for B&B. "The newlyweds are currently celebrating marital bliss by honeymooning on the sandy beaches of sunny Hawaii."

 Bloom Speaks Out!

Bloom sets the record straight!
The Internet has been abuzz with rumors regarding the shocking recast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Heather Stevens — with Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca, ALL MY CHILDREN) being tapped to take over — but the departing Vail Bloom wants to clear up any misconceptions that she may have been given the boot. “It was Vail Bloom’s choice to leave Y&R to pursue other opportunities,” her publicist tells Soaps In Depth. “As much as she loves Y&R and was honored to be on the No. 1 rated soap, and loved the opportunity to play the character of Heather, she felt it was time to pursue other projects.” In fact, the actress, who was dropped down to recurring last year on Y&R, has been juggling the sudser with several outside projects, including an episode of COLD CASE, and the movie The Somnambulist, which was filmed on location in New Orleans last year.

 A New Abby!

Rylan has a new soap to call home!
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' casting department was busy this week! Hot on the heels of the news that Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca, ALL MY CHILDREN) was replacing Vail Bloom as Heather comes the news that the soap has recast Hayley Erin as Abby -- with GUIDING LIGHT's Marcy Rylan (Lizzie)! The actress confirms the news on her Twitter page, announcing "I am going to Y&R! Abby is being aged to her early 20s." We caught up with Rylan at a recent fan event and the actress couldn't contain her happiness. "I am so excited!" she gushed to Soaps In Depth. From GL's Spauldings to Y&R's Newmans: Rylan sure knows how to pick her blueblood families!

 Major Recast Alert!

Riegel replaces Bloom as Y&R's resident D.A.
Major scoop, kids! Soaps In Depth has learned that Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca, ALL MY CHILDREN) is joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — replacing Vail Bloom as Heather! Daytime Confidential hinted at the news earlier this morning, and Riegel posted on her Twitter yesterday that she had "some really interesting, fun news coming your way! I know it's cruel to tease, but I'm too excited to keep it in." Bloom joined the cast of Y&R in 2007.

UPDATE: Riegel will make her Y&R debut on Tuesday, April 20.

 Moore Drops By Oakdale!

Moore returns to her soap home.
Big-screen superstar Julianne Moore is returning to AS THE WORLD TURNS and the role of Frannie Hughes, if only for an episode, this spring. CBS is at last confirming the hottest rumor of the last few weeks — that Moore will make a special return to the soap that helped launch her career! The Oscar-nominated star played the dual roles of half sisters Frannie and Sabrina Hughes from 1985-’88 and won the Outstanding Ingenue Daytime Emmy in 1988, the year she exited the soap. While details regarding her stint are being closely guarded, sources share with Soaps In Depth that it's likely Frannie's arrival will coincide with Bob and Kim's anniversary.

UPDATE: Moore will appear on Monday, April 5, in scenes celebrating her parents' 25th wedding anniversary.
