See Y&R's Gloria On Stage!

Chapman.jpg

Judith Chapman (Gloria) will be performing her must-see one-woman show Vivien, based on the life of actress Vivien Leigh (Gone With The Wind) at The Bandon Playhouse's Sprague Theater in Bandon, Oregon on Saturday, February 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 17 at 2 p.m. Chapman gives a powerful tour-de-force as she delves into the triumphs of the actress' life as well as the tragedies, which included mental illness. "It started when she was 26 and plagued her 20-year marriage with Laurence Olivier," Chapman says. "TB is what killed her, but there was manic depression, too. We know more about it now, but the way it was dealt with back in the 40's, 50's and 60's was so barbaric."

For ticket information for Vivien go to www.thebandonplayhouse.com or call 541-551-1066.

B&B Star In DANGER!

SabatoDiving.jpg

Antonio Sabáto, Jr. (ex-Dante, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; ex-Jagger, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is among the celebrities appearing tonight on Fox's STARS IN DANGER: THE HIGH DIVE, which airs from 8 to 10 p.m. ET. The hunky soap hopper tests his mettle on the diving board as he competes against other celebrities including Alexandra Paul (BAYWATCH) and Kim and Kyle Richards (THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS) to find out who's the best diver!

"It's very exciting, very dangerous and very scary," Sabáto Jr. tells Soaps In Depth. "I've never done anything like this, but diving is something I've always watched. Also, I like doing anything that involves competition!"

If you want to see Sabáto Jr. you have to tune in tonight! This is an event program - not an ongoing series, which is just as well since the actor says plenty of injuries came with the gig! "We had concussions and black eyes. I was bruised on my legs for days. I hit my face so many times."

Not the face, Antonio! Not the face!

"Oh, yeah, my face," the former Calvin Klein model confirms. "You'll see it in the show."

The actor's currently working on the second season of the Web series LITTLE WOMEN, BIG CARS. "We got six million viewers and it was a huge hit," shares Sabato Jr., who ironically plays a character named "A.J." "It's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES on the 'net," he says.

More DAYS To Come!

DaysAnniv.jpg

DAYS OF OUR LIVES will be airing its 12,000th episode this Friday, January 11, but today word came down of some even better news for the long-running soap. NBC has renewed DAYS for another year, taking it through to September 2014!

"We are thrilled to announce that DAYS OF OUR LIVES is not going anywhere. It is NBC's longest-running drama series by far and is one of the most historic brands in television," said Jennifer Salke, president, NBC Entertainment. "We commend Ken Corday and the entire creative team on continuing to keep the stories and characters fresh, exciting and relevant year after year."

"DAYS OF OUR LIVES has maintained a loyal and dedicated fan base for more than four decades and continues to reach a new generation of viewers," said Steve Mosko, President, Sony Pictures Television. "We appreciate NBC's support over the years and, as the show celebrates this significant milestone, we are thrilled that the show will continue to be a part of the NBC family."

"After so many years in the homes and hearts of our loyal fans, I'm both humbled and elated to say it's 2013 and we're still going strong," said DAYS' executive producer, Ken Corday. "I am equally proud that the sense of family which my mom and dad established in our show 48 years ago, is still what drives it today. As we celebrate our 12,000th episode with an amazing cast and great support from our network, we look forward to what's yet to come!"

And don't miss the 12,000th episode this Friday, January 11, which will find Sami and Rafe getting closer, Chloe enlisting an ally to win Daniel away from Jennifer, and Gabi and Nick preparing to walk down the aisle with a huge secret hanging over their heads ready to explode!

Zima's New Role Is A Killer! (Maybe...)

YvonneZima.jpg

Daisy was definitely guilty of a few crimes on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, but when portrayer Yvonne Zima guest-stars on LAW & ORDER: SVU on Wednesday, January 9, her character's guilt or innocence will definitely be in question.

"It's a very complicated story," she teases. "I play a single mother — and it's like, the second time I've played a mother, which is weird because I'm only 23! — but I also play a rape victim and I'm also accused of murder. So there's a lot to watch on Wednesday!"

GH Star Joins Y&R!

Burtoncrop.jpg

All the speculation and rumors regarding Steve Burton (ex-Jason, GENERAL HOSPITAL) have turned out to be true — the popular daytime star will be joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! Burton will be going from playing a hitman to an Army vet as he assumes the role of Dylan McAvoy, Avery's ex. Burton left GH to move his family to Nashville, TN, but was persuaded to rejoin the daytime industry. "There were a few reasons," Burton said on CBS daytime chat show THE TALK. "One of the reasons is Jill [Farren] Phelps."

The former GH executive producer is now running the show over at Y&R, and Burton was able to arrange a deal with the soap where he can still live in Tennessee with his family and commute back and forth to Y&R's Hollywood studio. "I'm just so grateful for the opportunity to have the best of both worlds for me and my family," he said.

Burton reports to work at Y&R tomorrow, and you can look for architect and war vet Dylan to arrive in Genoa City on Tuesday, January 29.

Watch a clip of Burton's appearance on THE TALK after the jump:
