THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL is apparently coping with the exit of not one major star, but two! Soaps In Depth has learned that Susan Flannery (Stephanie), one of the show's "core four" who has been on the soap since its 1987 premiere, has told the powers-that-be of her intention to leave the show. A source tells us the actress has signed a short-term contract with B&B to allow executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell some time to strategize in terms of storyline. The news comes a little more than a week after Ronn Moss (Ridge) announced he was leaving the role. A B&B rep confirmed that Flannery recently signed a new contract with the show but stated, "It's our policy not to comment on the terms of actors' contracts."
One bright note in the midst of all this disheartening news: Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) issued a statement on Friday saying she'd be sticking around. "I'm very happy to tell you that I have re-signed my contract with THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL for two more years," says the actress. "Brad has come up with an exciting new storyline for Brooke that I think the fans are going to love."
