Y&R Star Goes To The Prom

Robbie Tucker -- who recurs as Michael and Lauren's son, Fenmore, on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS -- hasn't been seen in Genoa City since the holidays last December. But the young actor can be caught on the big screen starting today in Prom, a Disney feature film! "I play Charlie, the younger brother of Jesse (played by Thomas McDonell)," says Tucker. "Charlie's outgoing and fun and he really likes his brother. Charlie and his mom want Jesse to go to the prom with this girl. He doesn't really want to go so we try to help him."

Playing a younger brother on-screen isn't a stretch for Tucker, who reveals, "I have a brother and sister in real-life and I'm the youngest. And the best news is that Prom is a flick that the whole family -- including Tucker himself -- can check out. "Yeah, it's PG," he enthuses. "So I can see it!"

Tucker's also completed a role in Family Weekend, which is set for release in the summer of 2012. The young actor and his on-screen siblings force their parents, played by Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Modine, into taking a look at the importance of family members spending time together. The movie also stars Shirley Jones (ex-Colleen, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) as their grandmother. Tucker says he's a tad too young to remember Jones' run as matriarch Shirley Jones on the popular '70s family sitcom THE PATRIDGE FAMILY, but notes, "my mom told me all about it!"

Prom -- starring Aimee Teegarden (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) -- is now playing at a theater near you!

More Wedding Bells For Gregory!

They say love is sweeter the second time around, and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL's Adam Gregory (Thomas) is quite certain that adage applies to weddings, too. Though he and his missus, Sheridan Nicole, married civilly on February 26, 2010, they're going to have their union sealed in the Mormon temple on Saturday, May 14, to signify that their marriage is eternal. Why the yearlong wait for the religious service? "Her father actually got in a skiing accident and broke his neck, and he wouldn't have been able to make it [to L.A.] for the wedding [last year]," the actor explains. (Thankfully, Sheridan's father has since made a full recovery.)

Gregory says joining his being cast on B&B last year also factored into the delay, as did the logistics of planning a ceremony for so many out-of-town relatives to attend. "We wanted to give them plenty of time to make travel arrangements, and also, a lot of preparation has gone into this wedding." The nice thing about having already technically tied the knot, he adds, is that he can really enjoy the upcoming event. "Oh, it's going to be a lot of fun," says the actor. And, there's no reason for Gregory to ever forget this anniversary, since it has an added significance for the couple: "May 14th is actually the day we met!" he reveals.

Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Sursok Is Getting Hitched!

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' poor Colleen might be dead and gone, but her final portrayer, Tammin Sursok, is definitely living happily ever after: She's engaged to her long-time boyfriend, director Sean McEwan! "We went to the Middle East with my parents and we spent Christmas getting baptized in the Sea of Gallilee, then we were on camels in the desert in Dubai," Sursok says of the life-changing trip during which her beau of four years popped the question. "We're planning everything soon. We're getting married in six months in Italy!"

While the actress is currently committed to her villainous role on ABC Family's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, she has ideas for where she and her soon-to-be husband might settle down. "My ultimate dream would be to have a place here [in Los Angeles], one in New York, and maybe a house in the south of Italy or something. That's kind of where my heart is," she confides. For more about Sursok's exciting year, look for her Keeping Track feature in an upcoming issue of Soaps In Depth.

Together Again!

It's been nearly two years since GUIDING LIGHT stars Robert Newman and Kim Zimmer taped their final scenes as Josh and Reva, but the talented actors have been reunited on the stage in the murder-mystery musical Curtains! A co-production between Houston's Theatre Under The Stars and The Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey, the cast of Curtains wrapped up their Texas performances earlier this month and make their Garden State debut on Wednesday, April 27.

Soaps In Depth caught up with Zimmer and Newman as they rehearsed the musical-within-a-musical, which follows the unraveling of a Boston theater company on opening night after the leading lady is murdered. Newman stars as Det. Frank Cioffi, who is called in to solve the crime, and Zimmer (now ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Echo) is the show's brassy producer, Carmen. "It's got all that's involved backstage of putting on a Broadway show," shares Zimmer. "It's an awful show because the star is dreadful. She ends up being murdered, so the beautiful young ingénue has to step into the role, and she's brilliant. But murders keep happening. Robert plays the detective who comes in, who's also a frustrated actor who would love nothing more than to be a part of the Broadway show."

A new little princess will soon join one of Hollywood's royal families! Shayne Lamas-Richie (who appeared on GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2005 as teenage Carly) is expecting her first child with husband Nik Richie, founder of the gossip site "The Lamas-Richie family is happy, healthy and definitely pregnant," the former ABC bachelorette and LEAVE IT TO LAMAS star announced via Twitter on April 12. On her blog,, the actress/model posted a picture of herself in a bikini, showing off her baby bump, with the message, "Nik and I are so excited. Team Girl!!"

The daughter of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL alum Lorenzo Lamas (ex-Hector), Lamas-Richie is also the sister of former AS THE WORLD TURNS hunk A.J. Lamas (Rafe). Her grandparents are the late Argentine actor Fernando Lamas and the sultry screen star Arlene Dahl. After winning Season 12 of THE BACHELOR, Lamas-Richie and Matt Grant were briefly engaged, but called things off in the summer of 2008, shortly after she was given the last rose. Last April, Lamas and Richie made headlines after eloping to The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas just hours after meeting for the first time. Accident On The Set!

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' fans will soon notice Billy sporting a cast on his hand. But this isn't a prop -- his portrayer, Billy Miller, actually broke his hand on set! "There was a big scene -- and I got really into it, and broke my hand," grins the actor. "It was a good scene. It wasn't smart, but for the [scene] it's as close to truth as you can possibly get, and I guess that's what you strive for. I wouldn't recommend it, though. I shattered my knuckle and broke my hand."

Miller proved to be a trooper, though, noting, "I finished out my day, shot another couple of hours, and then went to the hospital. I had it reset. Fun times!" Because the injury actually works for the storyline, Miller says that the writers promptly wrote it into the show.

Chappell Named Ambassador!

Crystal Chappell (Carly, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; Gina, VENICE; Olivia, GUIDING LIGHT) has been named the newest Ambassador for the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), an organization which creates a safe and supportive environment in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth can reach their full potential. HMI offers these vulnerable teenagers and young adults aged 12-21 creative after-school programs, support services and referrals.

Is Miller Really Leaving Y&R?

Earlier today, the soap world was buzzing with the sad news that popular THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Billy Miller would be exiting the show when his contract expires this summer. But all hope may not be lost for fans of Billy and Victoria, because Soaps In Depth has learned that Miller's exit isn't exactly a done deal. A setsider reports that the actor is still in contract talks with the soap and a deal could still be reached for Miller to remain on the canvas. With the soap working with their actors more than ever before to allow them to do outside projects -- like Miller's recent JUSTIFIED guest spot -- there's still hope that an amicable resolution can be reached for all parties. A spokesperson for Y&R had no comment.

Reality Star Dishes On Soap Debut!

Bravo TV personality Jenni Pulos -- a star of the cable network's docu-series FLIPPING OUT -- will make her daytime television debut on Thursday, May 12, when she plays Ashley and Tucker's wedding planner on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. Soaps In Depth recently chatted with the lifelong soap opera fan, who was thrilled with the invitation to appear on daytime's top-rated drama. "I'm so fortunate," she says. "I've been on a comedy, an independent film and now a soap opera. They're all great learning and growing experiences."

There's one family member equally excited to see Pulos in action in Genoa City: her cousin, Michael. "He said to me, 'You have to get a photo of you taken in the Newman living room.' He wants to know what's going to happen, but I told him, 'You have to watch. It's juicy!'"

While early reports had Pulos appearing in Genoa City for a two-episode arc, the actress/voiceover artist/home decorator tells In Depth that she's only taped one show. "It was originally going to be two, but now I'm not sure exactly what's going on," she reveals. "Whether Jennifer is included in one show or more than one, I'm incredibly honored to be on the show and I want to thank everyone there. This has been a great experience. A lot of the people I watched as a kid are still here on the show -- and they're looking great!"
