It's that time again, where Barbara Walters gathers together the year's most prominent names in entertainment, sports, politics and pop culture, all for her ABC News special, BARBARA WALTERS PRESENTS: THE 10 MOST FASCINATING PEOPLE OF 2010. From a hysterical Superbowl Snickers commercial to the grassroots Facebook campaign nominating her as a host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIFE to the new sitcom HOT IN CLEVELAND, nobody was more fascinating this year than "It Girl" Betty White (ex-Ann, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL)! Some of the other folks on Walters' Top 10 list include the cast of JERSEY SHORE, Sandra Bullock, Sarah Palin, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez. The hour-long special will air on Thursday, December 9, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.

Good news for fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS: CBS has announced that daytime's top-rated soap has been renewed! "TV's #1 daytime drama has been renewed for three more years!" the network announced via its Twitter page. A spokesperson for the network confirms that Y&R has been picked up through the 2013-14 season.
"This is the most awesome news!!!" co-executive producer/headwriter Maria Arena Bell posted on her Facebook page. "Huge vote of confidence for the show -- it's doing great! So there goes the "this business is dying" theory! Plus... I've got a new deal too!!!!!! So I'm staying with Y and R people!"
This week on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, Sharon, Nick, Michael, Adam and Phyllis hit the Big Easy when the would-be future Mrs. Newman follows her ex to Louisiana. In their off hours, Y&R cast members Sharon Case (Sharon), Joshua Morrow (Nick), Michael Muhney (Adam) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) had a built-in tour guide thanks to New Orleans native Christian Jules LeBlanc (Michael). Thanks to some proper planning, the cast and crew were able to take in the sights of the historic city.
"When you see your hometown through other people's eyes, it's amazing," marvels LeBlanc. "It was a blast. I had a ball. The whole shoot was the perfect combination of cast and crew and patience and people who loved food and the city."
Prior to the show's taping, LeBlanc participated in a breast cancer run in Thibodaux, one of many charity events that the stars participated in while in Louisiana for the location shoot. "Michael, Josh, Michelle and Sharon were all great," LeBlanc praises. "It was great to help out where we could."
In addition to taking his colleagues to the Crescent City's typical tourist attractions, LeBlanc made sure that some good eats were had by all! The actor shared his love for mom-and-pop restaurants. "We went out to the lakefront to a wonderful place called R&O's. The 'O' is for Miss Ora," he explains, adding that he ordered the house specialty of French fries and brie for everyone. LeBlanc had no sooner turned around from greeting Miss Ora then he discovered that his pals had completely devoured the delicious dish! "I was never so proud of my Y&R brethren," he jokes.
Five years after they played childhood sweethearts Colleen and J.T. on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, Lyndsy Fonseca and Thad Luckinbill are about to be reunited on the screen once again! Last week, Fonseca -- currently starring as Alex in the hit CW drama NIKITA -- posted a photo on her Twitter page of herself with Luckinbill accompanied by the cryptic message "On set" and another saying "Just like old times." Soaps In Depth can now confirm that Luckinbill will guest star on an upcoming episode of NIKITA! "Thad will be appearing as Nathan, Alex's neighbor in the episode titled 'Free,'" reveals a spokesperson for The CW. Although an official air date has not yet been set, Luckinbill's episode will likely air in January.
Joining the roster of reality stars making appearances on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL as of late, THE BACHELOR's Jake Pavelka will guest on an upcoming episode of the soap! A former pilot for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Pavelka first appeared as a contestant in Season 5 of ABC's hit THE BACHELORETTE and later starred on Season 14 of the network's THE BACHELOR series. He also competed on DANCING WITH THE STARS and played a -- shocker! -- reality show contestant in an episode of Lifetime's DROP DEAD DIVA. But for his B&B role, Pavelka will be revisiting his flying days when he guest stars as the pilot of a private jet carrying Katherine Kelly Lang's Brooke and Adam Gregory's Thomas to Paris. Look for his episode to air on Friday, January 14.
AS THE WORLD TURNS' Eileen Fulton (Lisa) will be performing a one-night-only holiday cabaret show on Friday, December 17. Entitled I Remember... Or At Least I Try, the show will feature standards such as "River," "Blue Moon" and "Stormy Weather," all with Fulton's signature flair. And for the holidays, the performer will also be including a special rendition of "Santa Man," a tune for which she wrote the music and lyrics!
Fulton's performance will be held at Don't Tell Mama in New York City. The venue is located at 343 West 46th Street, and the show has a $25 music charge and a two-drink minimum. Reservations are required, so call (212) 757-0788 if you're interested in spending the evening with the daytime legend!

MULTIPLE VOTES FROM THE SAME USER WILL BE DELETED AND NOT COUNTED, SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND OURS. THANK YOU.
Now, on to this issue's questions:
THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL: Would you rather see Hope with Oliver or Liam?
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS: Should Victor forgive Nikki for sleeping with Deacon?
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Eden Riegel (Heather) has joined forces with Cyndi Lauper, Susan Sarandon, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and Pete Wentz to raise awareness about homeless gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth. The Give A Damn Campaign, a project of Lauper's True Colors Fund, has released its latest video in support of National Runaway Prevention Month, which you can watch above. Each year in the U.S., between 500,000 and 1.6 million youth are homeless or runaways -- and gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth make up to possibly 40% of that number. To learn more about this epidemic, visit www.wegiveadamn.org.
Since GUIDING LIGHT went off the air more than a year ago, Ron Raines (Alan) has kept himself busy singing in some of the country's most famous concert halls, performing alongside renowned orchestras. And the actor's next project will be just as grand: Raines will join famed Broadway performers Danny Burstein and Bernadette Peters for a production of the popular Stephen Sondheim musical Follies at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. "I'm thrilled to be returning to The Kennedy Center, and to be performing in Follies with such a star-studded cast," Raines, a Broadway vet himself, tells Soaps In Depth. "I've always wanted to work with Bernadette Peters. I also look forward to, and am hoping to get, guidance from the master himself, Stephen Sondheim."
Follies will run May 7 through June 9, 2011. Tickets go on sale January 24 for Kennedy Center Members, and on January 30 for the public. For more information, visit www.kennedy-center.org.
What does former GUIDING LIGHT ingenue Tammy Blanchard (Drew) have in common with Daniel Radcliffe, the superstar of the Harry Potter film franchise? They are both set to star in the Broadway revival of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying in Spring 2011! The musical also marks a return to The Great White Way for both actors: Radcliffe received a 2009 Drama Desk nomination for his starring role in the Broadway run of Eqqus, and Blanchard won the 2003 Theatre World Award as well as a Tony nomination for her portrayal of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy. How To Succeed will begin previews on February 26, and officially open on March 27. For ticket information, visit telecharge.com.
Congratulations to AS THE WORLD TURNS alum Kristina Sisco Romero (Abigail) on becoming a mother! The actress has given birth to her first child with husband Dan, a boy they've named Chase Samuel Romero. The tyke weighed in at 8 lbs., 2 oz., and measured almost 22 inches long. All the best to the happy family!
Today, Monday, November 15, Lauralee Bell (ex-Christine, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) launches the fifth webisode of her award-nominated cyberseries, FAMILY DINNER! You can watch it right now at FunnyorDie.com! In addition to the regular cast, the webisode will feature several well-known guest stars, including the legendary Shirley Jones (ex-Colleen, DAYS OF OUR LIVES).
"At this point in my life and career, I love trying new things," Jones says of her guest appearance on the webisode. "The experience was wonderful. I had just come from two concerts, one in Ohio and one in Pittsburgh, and my manager picked me up at the airport and drove me right to the set. I was a little tired!" she recalls with a laugh. "I had very little time to learn my lines, but Lauralee made it so easy for me."

When TV LAND's hit original comedy HOT IN CLEVELAND returns to the air for its sophomore season in January, fans of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL will want to be tuning in to see guest star Jack Wagner (Nick)! As soon as we find out when the soap stud's episode will air, you'll be the next to know!
THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL's Heather Tom (Katie) pulls double duty on Thursday, November 18, when she guest-stars on THE MENTALIST. The episode "Red Moon" centers around a local astrologer who helps Patrick Jane solve the puzzling case of a tripe homicide that involves two policemen and the fiancé of an EMT worker. Tom will appear as Marva, a witness to one of the killings. "I play this small town waitress whose co-worker gets murdered," Tom tells Soaps In Depth. "I shot it in one day and I had that day off [at B&B] so it worked out great."
Tom had the pleasure of working with series star Simon Baker (Patrick) -- but not as a scene partner. "He directed the episode," she reveals. "I thought he was a wonderful director."
THE MENTALIST airs on CBS at 10 p.m. EST.
BIG BROTHER 12 contestants Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas make a return visit to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL on Friday, November 19, and Monday, November 22. The reality show couple will again appear as a waitress and bartender at Bikini Beach.
The runaway Off-Broadway hit My Big Gay Italian Wedding will celebrate its 100th performance on Thursday, November 18 -- and AS THE WORLD TURNS hunk Austin Peck (Brad) will be making a special appearance! The curtain will rise at 8 p.m. at St. Luke's Theater (308 West 46th Street in Manhattan), and the audience is invited to celebrate with Peck and the rest of the cast immediately following the performance. For tickets, visit telecharge.com.
There's a family reunion ahead for Adrienne Frantz' Amber on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL! Soap veteran Andrea Evans will bring the wannabe fashionista's trailer-trash mom, Tawny, back to Los Angeles for four episodes beginning Tuesday, December 28. The gold-digger comes looking for a handout, unaware that her daughter isn't doing as well in the fashion biz as she thinks. Evans first played the role from 1999-2000, but briefly took Tawny to sister soap THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS back in May to facilitate Frantz' exit from that show.
If you're missing AS THE WORLD TURNS like we are, here's a little something that might put a smile on your face instead. Watch favorites like Michael Park (Jack), Maura West (Carly), Van Hansis (Luke) and Don Hastings (Bob) run afoul of forgotten lines, uncooperative props, a surprise loogie and a cameo from Igor the pet fly! (Our favorite is Hal's super-speedy helicopters!)
We're still working on getting the polls officially up and running, so once again, we invite you to vote in the comments below if using snail mail to the address in the magazine doesn't give you enough instant gratification. Just answer the questions and name your favorite actor, actress and couple!
But please remember, only vote once for each set of questions. Not once per week, not per day, like with the regular automated poll. Multiple votes will be deleted and not counted!
THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL: Do you think Amber can steal Nick from Aggie?
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS: Would you like to see Sharon and Adam back together?
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Victor has squashed many bugs over the years (i.e., Leanna, Eve) who've tried to pull the wool over his eyes and it looks like Sean Young's Meggie is about to get hers on Monday, November 8!
Meggie's been trying to worm her way into Victor's life for months and it appears she's been succeeding, but things are soon going to take a dramatic twist! "It's a huge tune-in day," a Y&R rep says of Monday's episode.
Young says she was kept in the dark about it being her big finale until after her scenes were completed. "Producers didn't tell me I was actually done [until after] my last scene," she tells Soaps In Depth. "I was kind of thinking that [it was the end]. I thought, 'Where am I going to be acting from? Prison?'"
Young's not going far from CBS Television City, however. As reported earlier this week, she's signed up to be a celebrity participant on SKATING WITH THE STARS, set to debut on ABC on Monday, November 22 at 9 PM. (While the competition series airs on ABC it actually tapes at the CBS production facility that's also home to Y&R!)
Watch for more of Young's thoughts on her time as Meggie including whom she enjoyed acting with the most (hint: it's not who you think it is!) in an upcoming issue of CBS Soaps In Depth!
As a result of live CBS News coverage of the Presidential News Conference at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST, the second half of today's episode of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS was pre-empted in much of the Eastern and Central time zones. The affected CBS affiliates will re-run the entire episode in late night this evening; check your local stations for time. Of course, you can always watch the episode tomorrow at CBS.com.
Meanwhile, today's originally scheduled episode of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL will be seen tomorrow. A classic B&B episode will be shown in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.
Sources tell Soaps In Depth that Sean Young has wrapped her stint as THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Meggie -- she reportedly last airs on Monday, November 8 -- but she's already jumped into her next project! ABC has announced that Young will be one of the celebrity contestants on SKATING WITH THE STARS, which premieres live on Monday, November 22, after the network's hit DANCING WITH THE STARS wraps. Among the other five contestants Young will be competing against on the ice is another familiar daytime face: Rebecca Budig (Greenlee, ALL MY CHILDREN; Michelle, GUDING LIGHT).
As our pals over at Daytime Confidential first reported yesterday, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Eden Riegel (Heather) is expecting her first child with her husband, IMAGINARY BITCHES creator Andrew Miller! The couple, who recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary, will welcome their baby in early May. "I'm feeling great, just getting my energy back," Riegel later posted on Twitter. "But if you were wondering where I've been, chances are I was probably napping or barfing!" Congratulations to the parents-to-be!
THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Devon may be on the Genoa City backburner these days, but his portrayer, Bryton James, has been busy playing with the supernatural on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES! James will make his first appearance as Luka in the Thursday, November 11, episode, titled "Katerina." While Elena searches for the truth about Katherine's past, her brother, Jeremy, and best friend, good witch Bonnie, show the new student around Mystic Falls... and it's soon discovered that Luka has a rather surprising family history! THE VAMPIRE DIARIES airs on THE CW at 8 p.m. EST.
